craziness!

I promise in the very near future to actually blog! This one doesn't count...but it's an update. I moved into my house the first weekend in July. It's great! Work is crazy busy right now. My little brother and his wife just had their first baby...a new niece! And I just got internet at home so I'll be able to catch up on my blogging! TTFN :)

I bought a house!!

I bought a house!! After all that time spent looking at houses making several offers and being out-bid...I finally got one! I'm sooooooooooo excited! I should be able to close in about 2-3 weeks if everything goes right! The house is in Woods Cross and it has a large yard, 0.25 acre, with a huge patio and deck...and a hot tub! I'll have to do some minor upgrades. The previous owners took all of the light fixtures and switches, stove/oven and fridge...those must have been some awesome light switches! This picture was taken in early spring by the realtor; now, all of the trees are filled with leaves (that will be so much fun in the fall). I'm just so excited!

5K...more like 5000K!

I did it! I totally "RALKED" it...meaning I'm totally awesome and I ran/walked it, all 5K of it! The run was on Saturday and I started getting a cold/allergies on Friday. So, Friday night I took some Nightquil before going to bed to help me sleep. I only got 3 hours of sleep, the cold medicine did not wear off before the run. Needless to say, I was not feeling SUPER! And the run seemed to just keep going...and going...and going. BUT, I did it! It was a fun experience...and I think I'll start training for a triathalon now...maybe...

Time Flew

Well, I guess I've just been having so much fun I forgot to blog. Okay, that's not the entire truth. I've been really busy with work and life in general. Things are going great; life is great! I promise to post soon with new pics and life updates!

twice baked potato

Do you know what a twice baked potato is?

My brother is certain that a twice baked potato is when you bake a potato in the oven until it is cooked. Then you cut it open put bacon and cheese on it, and put in the microwave to heat it back up until the cheese melts. It is cooked twice, thus, twice baked potato.

So, I made twice baked potatoes and showed him...he still doesn't believe me!

Job promotion brings me home!!

I got a promotion and I'm back at Lakeview!!!!! I'm HOME!!!

I'm now the Supply Chain Director for Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful Utah. It's a great feeling to see familiar, smiling faces again. Not that I didn't like my Division job...it was great and I learned a lot. I'm really lucky to start my first director job with my staff that I know and love! It's not going to be a walk in the park, but I'm ready and excited!

She ate baby Jesus!!

Nativity Sheep

Every year my family does a Nativity program at my Grandparents for Christmas. Sadie, my yellow lab, was supposed to be a sheep (with fairy wings) and my nephew the Shepard. My niece was playing the part of Mary holding her little baby doll as Jesus. As my Aunt reads the Nativity story, Sadie decides to leave the Shepard and venture over to Mary's side. She sits down next to Mary and starts licking the baby Jesus. "Oh, that's so cute" everyone exclaims "she's giving baby Jesus kisses". AND then the head of baby Jesus disappears...disappears in the mouth of the "sheep". Everyone is yelling at Sadie to DROP it! And my little niece is screaming "She ate baby Jesus!!" Sadie did immediately drop the baby and Mary was able to rescue it. We were all laughing so hard! After everyone calmed down we finished the rest of the Nativity program one sheep short...my grandpa was insistent that she was not really a sheep, but a wolf in sheep clothing! The Nativity program will never be the same again...sheep will never be allowed to participate. And from now on whenever I hear the Nativity story a phrase will enter my mind "she ate baby Jesus" and I'll remember when Christmas almost wasn't! The sequel to the Nativity Story: "A dingo ate my baby"....perhaps irreverent but funny!!
