NEW CAR!!

This is a picture of my Hyundai Sante Fe...well a manufacturer picture, but it looks exactly the same. Unfortunately, the Trooper just kept having issues. The motor had to be replaced in September; luckily that was covered under warrantee. And then it started to make a vibrating noise, so I took it in and they told me it was the transmission...the transmission was replaced two years ago! I decided that the Trooper just didn't want me to own it any longer...it wanted to be traded in. So, that's just what I did. I was planning on getting something a few years used, but when I went to the dealership they had just had an elderly couple bring back the new car they had just purchased a few months ago because they couldn't afford the payment. Used with 10,000 miles! Is that still considered used???? With JD's negotiating skills (also know as this is my last offer or we're out of here) we were able to purchase this vehicle only a couple thousand more than I had orginally planned to spend...and I got a brand new vehicle FULLY loaded! Thanks JD!!! Way to play hard ball! And I LOVE it!

Physick Book of Deliverance Dane

This was the latest read for book club. It's about a girl named Connie. Connie is in grad school and is writing her dissertation about the Salem Witch trial. Her studies are put on hold when she is called to go clean out the home of her deceased grandmother. Connie comes across some interesting artifacts and finds herself a family relation to the Salem Witch trial. Witch craft, sorcery or just plain herbal medicine? As Connie searches for the answers mysterious things start to help; magical things. This was a good book. AND the most fascinating part was even though the book was fiction, the accounts of the Salem Witch trial are fact. Real names, real places, real excerpts. Fascinating read with a little history lesson too!!

A little slow...

Sorry, these last couple months have just been crazy! So here's some quick updates:
  • JD and I are back together again. Long story short-he loves me and I love him...we got back together the end of August after a LONG talk. Things are going great!
  • I went down to St. George in August for some rest and relaxation. The weather was hot and the pool was cool. We went to Zions and hiked the Narrows.
  • I went to Swiss Days in Midway. If you love homeade crafts this fair is so much fun!
  • I went to Echo Res. for Labor Day weekend. The weather was not very good; it was windy and a bit cold.
  • I spend the next weekend in Maple canyon. This canyon is east of Nephi. It's a rock climber's dream...but since I'm definately not a rock climber I enjoyed the scenery and short hikes while others climbed. Good weather until we we're packing things up and then the rain just down poured...good timing!
  • Then off to Las Vegas for work. Yep, work and no play. Long meetings and hot weather for the next couple days.
  • On Sept 17th I left for Cancun and spent a couple days in San Antonio before returning home yesterday. This was a VACATION! It was great! When I get a little free time I'll blog about my mexico adventure and finally post some pictures. Ever heard of BOB????

My Last Day at Lakeview

Beloved Lakeview

My new home...hopefully some day beloved I am now a week into this new job. I do alot of the same clinical contract analysts stuff that I did at Lakeview it's just on a bigger scale now with more responsibilities. Do I love it? It will take some time but I'm sure I'll get there. My office furniture hasn't arrived yet...apparently everything for my office is on back order. I do have a phone and computer, and a card table and chair from the conference room, so it's kind of an office for now and it has a window...but don't get too excited for me, it's a window to the warehouse there's no great view. Lakeview gave me a farewell gift; a digital picture frame with pictures of all my friends at Lakeview. I love it! But it makes me miss them all so much! I'm making new friends. We have an hour for lunch everyday, so it's really nice to have a huge park across the street to go walk around or sit in the shade and read, it's very relaxing. The hardest part is after being outside in a park, in the beautiful weather, you have to spend the last 20 minutes of your lunch trying to talk yourself into going back to work. I do have to travel more with this new position but it won't be too often and shouldn't be for longer than a couple days. The girl in the office next to mine told me that last year they were in California for three weeks trying to finish a big project....I really hope I never have to do that! I'm learing so much and I am, so far, enjoying the challenge!
