Bad News: well, I wasn't able to get into that duplex. The owners decided at the last minute that they didn't want to allow pets. It is their current policy and decided not to change it. I understand their position, it was just really frustrating to get that little bit of news in the 11th hour and after I have waited several months...patiently. I have been diligently searching for a new place to rent, that has a little yard for the dogs and under $700. Well that has turned impossible. I can't find anything under $900. And if I'm going to pay that much in rent I might as well just buy a duplex. So, that's what I'm doing; then at least I can rent out the other unit for part of the mortgage. I haven't found a place yet but I'm looking.
Good News: I don't' have the swine flu! I haven't come in contact with someone who has the swine flu and I haven't been in Mexico recently...but you never know! :)

WICKEDLY AWESOME!!

Have you ever heard the term, "The 4th times the charm"...yep, the 4th time, not the 1st, 2nd or 3rd, it's the 4th time. Well that's how many times my friend Sirena and I went to the raffle drawing at the Capitol Theater to win Wicked tickets. We started out on Friday evening all dressed up and ready if we won tickets...and then we went home unsuccessful. Saturday we lined up at two different times; each time less "theater" appropriate, neither time taking the prize. On Sunday we loafed into line in jeans and t-shirts...and we WON!! Needless to say we screamed, jumped up and down several times, ran to the front and claimed our prize! I couldn't believe we actually won!! Now we had about an hour before the show so we headed over to the Blue Iguana for dinner and then back over to the theater. When we reached the theater we realized we were completely under-dressed! Everyone was in dresses and suits. That's okay, right, no one will notice when the lights go down anyways! So, we head into the theater. We had no idea where we were going to be sitting. When we entered the usher said follow me and so we did. We just kept following him all the way down the isle...4th row from the very front!! We couldn't believe it, not only did we win tickets, they were AWESOME SEATS!! The show was AWESOME! The seats were AWESOME! We got AWESOME FREE parking and close!! This was truely a WICKEDLY AWESOME NIGHT!!

Jamis Durango it is!!

Okay, I did it...I bought a bicycle! I bought a Jamis Durango. I haven't taken a picture of it yet to post but it is exactly like the one in the picture except the colors are pearly white, silver and sparkly blue with matching helmet! I probably haven't riden a bike since I was in junior high school...it was my only mode of transportation. I took it out over the weekend with the dogs for a short ride and it was a lot of fun! That is until the wind picked up and and it took me three times the amount of time it would have taken me normally to get back to my car. So much for a short ride! I'm looking forward to some nice weather so I can get back out there again! If you know of any easy...EASY...rides let me know! I'm looking forward to starting my new hobby!

Which one???

Okay I need some help. I'm going to buy a bicycle...yep a bicycle. I'm out of the 4-wheeling business! There is so much to know about bicycles! I had no idea. Suspensions, forks, brakes, grips, saddles, frames... I have narrowed it down to three bikes; all are aluminum frame and one of them has disk brakes, which is supposed to be better than pad brakes. Here are pictures of the three I'm looking at. They are all similarly priced...but I just can't decide. Which one do you think I should go with?? Or if you know someone that knows anything about bikes, ask them for me! Thanks!
